Linus still uses his. Cracked up and ild but goes to show that even with all of the new phones, he still prefers a note 9. Still one of the best Samsungs imo

I still am using my Note 9.
Samsung makes good devices. But it makes them orphan. No updates after 3 years.

Have had the 512/8 GB Note9 for 4+ years as my only phone - absolutely love it! Cannot find anything wrong with it and enjoy using it every single day :)

What do you mean "only other issue" - "having a headphone jack" LOL

I don't care if it only goes up to Android 10. I love it's aesthetics and that is good enough for me from a form factor standpoint.

So this is what an outdated phone looks like. What a time to be alive!

I am still using the Galaxy Note 9. I have Note 20 for my second number, but I'm still using the N9 more and I love the N9. The battery life is getting worse, but the screen/display is still gorgeous. And most importantly no stupid notch or camera cut holes. I hate those.

LOL, this is such a joke. I've literally had my Note 9 from day one and I've not noticed one single thing that's held me back for the last six years. Probably the best phone I've ever had honestly. I love the fact that he says everything is outdated and not worth it, but doesn't explain what is causing it to be outdated. Sure, it may be past its prime, but if you can get this phone for less than $200 it is a killer deal.

Also, I use my camera every single day and have no issues. I find it to be very good. I'm running apps that hog up resources like crazy and get no lag. If someone is requiring more out of their phone than what I am currently requiring out of my phone, then I question if you need a new phone or if you need new phone usage practices. You probably need to start using a computer for whatever activity you are trying to use your phone for.

I think I speak for a lot of Note9'rs out there that the Note9 is STILL a top notch option ( in 2024 and beyond)?
This device was an over-engineered juggernaut thats going on 6 years old, yet it still remains to be quite the desirable choice for more people than you think? At it's original price and release, it was out of reach for most people due to price for either variant? Now, they are more than affordable on the used and refurb markets? Android 10 is still stable and works just as it did when it was released back in the day? I'm not going to get into the features and build quality the Note9 has because I think everyone knows by now what this icon can do, and that is why it is STILL alive and well in 2024 🎉🙏

Bought mine in 2020 on ebay? For like 160$ its actually appreciated in value lol. I wouldnt buy one now. But its served me well for almost 4 yrs now. Still using a blue 6/128 note 9 for a work phone. Still works great. Does everything I need it to do (phone, text, gvoice, web, drive, box, occasional YT) and the best implementation of Samsung pay there ever has been. Like carrying a tool box in your pocket. I've been flirting with some s22 ultra refurbs on eBay as a replacement, but honestly I think I'll just use the N9 until it's no longer supported by the apps I need. Best one Samsung ever made.

I still use my S9+ as a Hi-Res music player with Poweramp and USB Audio Player Pro. The SD card slot makes it easy to add more storage for large collections.

I think it's pretty silly to recommend people buy an s24 or an s23 if they're shopping for a Note 9. Lol. You're talking about adding five or $600 to the price at a minimum.

Not to mention you lose the headphone jack, and the SD card, and the iris scanner, and MST/Samsung pay, and the capacitive fingerprint sensor.... And the LED lights. And the lack of an interruption on the screen like a notch or a punch hole. Again people here are looking at a phone for 200 bucks... If you want to suggest they get a moto stylus or a Nord n30 or maybe a used s21 instead I could sort of see that. Maybe an LG V60, oneplus 9 etc ..

But you just tell people to get an s24 instead seems a little odd.

I m still using my Note 9 with the exynos version, It still works pretty solid except for the battery, I Nedd to charge twice a day, it must have fell 100 time to this date until this last ime, my screen got a bit damaged. Still typing his from it, I do create SI images from it. Works on gamini, copilot, etc at pretty decent speed. This Is still my primary phone, wanted to upgrade to S24 ultra but Samsung has increased prices of their phones way too much to afford unless you use it for pro purposes.

Nevertheless Still continuing with this rock solid phone.

It seems like for Simple Alpaca, even if an old flagship still has very powerful hardware and very good features and everything, but if its no longer getting the latest version of software, then thats a deal breaker as far as him recommending using the phone. I could say that with the Note 9, you are still getting better performance and features than a new budget phone that you could buy for the same price, however the advantage that the new budget phone would have is that you are getting a much newer version of Android on the new budget phone and maybe a better battery since the old flagship's battery may have degraded from a few years of use.

I want to get the note 9 as a secondary device. It’s crazy cheap now with all those features

With how little software support nowadays brings to devices, I don't think the fact that it doesn't get it, makes such devices a deal breaker. It's still a good device and I use mine comfortably without any issues
