Israel takes control of Rafah crossing in Gaza after rejecting ceasefire deal with Hamas

The Israel Defence Forces announced it has taken control of the Gaza side of the Rafah crossing.

It comes after Hamas agreed to a ceasefire deal mediated by Qatar and Egypt, a proposal which Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said was ‘far from Israel's basic requirements’.

According to a report from Al Jazeera the agreement would have seen Hamas gradually release 33 captives who are alive or dead.

Former Labor MP Michael Danby joined Sky News host Peta Credlin to discuss the latest on the conflict in the Middle East.

“They’ve seized a small southeastern corner; they’ve issued maps for people to transfer to the beach and Khan Yunis,” Mr Danby said.

Apparently they did NOT "REJECT" the ceasefire, THEY NEVER WERE The "Ceasefire" deal was between the Egyptians, Qatarians and Hamas ONLY!
