Meet Meat Loaf who actually doesn't eat meatloaf! :D

THE SONG - "Bat Out of Hell" is a song performed by American rock singer and actor Meat Loaf on his 1977 album of the same name. It was written by pianist Jim Steinman. Recording started in late 1975 at Bearsville Studios in Woodstock, New York with Todd Rundgren producing. The album 'Bat Out of Hell' was released on Oct 21, 1977. "Bat Out of Hell", the song, was not released as a single in the US. It became known through radio play. On the album, the song is 9:56. It was edited down to 6:40 and released in the UK as a single in 1979 and re-released in 1993 in the UK cut down to 4:50.

"Bat Out of Hell" as a single, reached #15 in the UK in Feb 1979. The 1993 re-release reached #8 in the UK. In the US, the album peaked at #14 on the Billboard 200 on Sep 16, 1978. The album reached #9 in the UK, #5 in Canada, and hit #1 in Australia and New Zealand.

Steinman originally started writing the song in 1968 about Peter Pan for a futuristic rock musical "Neverland" that he started developing in 1975. That may not be immediately obvious. According to SongFacts, "he wrote this to be the ultimate "Motorcycle crash song." The lyrics refer to a rider being thrown off his bike in a wreck and his organs exposed." The expression "bat out of hell" implies going very fast.

'Bat Out of Hell' became one of the best selling albums of all time at 30 to 43 million copies depending on your source. Its eventual success was not obvious at the start. Meat Loaf was an unknown artist and the album was very unusual. In an interview with SongFacts, bassist Kasim Sulton said, "that while recording it, he thought the album was "the biggest joke that I've ever been involved in." He learned that it was not a joke when he heard the song on the influential New York City radio station WNEW-FM. "I hear this track, and I said to myself, 'That sounds vaguely familiar. Where have I heard that song before?'" Sutton said. "Then it hit me: 'I played on that!' It was 'Bat Out of Hell, ' that track. And then after hearing it on WNEW, the record exploded."

The BBC stated in an article - "His first album, the now legendary "Bat Out of Hell", was initially rejected by scores of record companies, yet went on to spend a staggering 485 weeks in the UK charts. The whole album is a masterwork of storytelling that Meat Loaf and Steinman worked on for four years and then battled to get heard."

Comparisons are often drawn to Bruce Springsteen whose drummer, the well-known Max Weinberg, played on "Bat". In Feb 2009, Todd Rundgren told 'Mojo' magazine, "Jim Steinman still denies that record has anything to do with Springsteen. But I saw it as a spoof. You take all the trademarks - over long songs, teenage angst, handsome loner- and turn them upside down. So we made these epic songs, full of the silly puns that Steinman loves. If Bruce Springsteen can take it over the top, Meat Loaf can take it five storeys higher than that - and at the same time, he's this big, sweaty, unappealing character. Yet we out-Springsteened Springsteen. He's never had a record that sold like Bat Out of Hell, and I didn't think that anyone would ever catch on to it. I thought it would be just a cult thing. The royalties from that album enabled me to follow my own path for a long time after that."

FUN FACTS - Meat Loaf was born Marvin Lee Aday. He legally changed his first name to Michael in 1984. The origin of his nickname is uncertain as he's given different explanations. Many believe it was given to him by his high school football coach - he weighed over 200 pounds when he was in the 7th grade. Despite the name, Meat Loaf has been a vegetarian since the 80s for health reasons. He claims to have a vocal range spanning three and a half octaves.

Max Weinberg is a superb drummer. Sina just spent nearly 10 minutes emulating him. She looks relieved that she finished (and probably also her neighbors) but I think she did a great job. What do you guys think?

THE ICON - Niki has set up the Christmas tree at the clinic. There will be more changes!

RIP Michael Lee Aday (Meatloaf). From your playing of Eddie in '75 film Rocky Horror Picture Show, to your first iconic song Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad your talent was as unique as your name change. Bat Out Of Hell was both a classic song and album name. You will be missed but your music will live on forever!

I got a Telya, I’ve been a cowboy all my life, everything from a bronc riding cowboy to a ranchhand and of course a businessman to support my cowboy habits. When I stumbled across Sina doing the drum cover on so many classics I was hooked. Then after doing a little bit of research on her, I can only imagine how proud her parents are of her accomplishments, I know us a father I would just stand back and say “ yep, that’s my daughter, pretty fancy don’t ya think?”. Nowadays when I’m working outside, to heck with Spotify always key up Sina on YouTube. Very well done young lady and very well done and good job to her parents.

Hey Sina! my dad just recently passed away and I wanted you to know that he absolutely loved watching your videos and witnessing the amazing talent you have and how you played some of his favorite songs. He enthusiastically shared a lot of your videos with me and you helped create a lot of joy in his life in some dark times. Thank you for everything and I just wanted to let you know how much he was in awe of your talent! He sang and played guitar for 30+ years.

This video tells you all you really need to know about Sina as a drummer and a endurance, timing, attack, subtlety, a work ethic like I have never seen before, especially with her college workload and an outright love of music. In the middle of all that hard work she blesses us with a smile. There is a reason why I have never seen anyone else on you tube attempt this is so damned hard. God bless you Sina, you always manage to make this old man smile.

With the recent losses of Jim and Meatloaf, I had to thank you. Their songs were a part of me, part of my soul...they echoed my life in more ways than one.
Gotta thank you, you covered this song with all the passion and power of its words and music. Brought a tear to my eye. Awesome! Thanks again.

For you to play like this when you not your usual 105% is incredible. Makes my little runny nose issue a lot easier to deal with. You can always lift our spirits and make problems go away so looking grumpy or not won't bother one little bit. Beautiful job, beautiful outlook on life and beautiful Sina. Hope all feel better soon.

I love her work. Finally realized that, as good as she is, it's her incredibly accurate timing that amazes me. I'm old enough to be her grandfather, and i know this music well enough to appreciate every beat. I will buy her music, just to see how she handles originals. In the mean time, i will watch Bat out of Hell, and radar Love, over and over. Thank you, dear young lady

After decades of listeni ng to these songs, and always trying to catch a glimpse of the drum parts here and there, thank you to Sina and her crew for removing the veil. The feeling I experience while watching Sina go at it with several camera angles is akin to a blind man seeing for the first time. Pure joy.

I must've listened to this song over 100 times since it first came out. I grew up rockin' to it in my first car at 16 years old. I know every word, inflection, guitar solo and riff, piano break and drum beat. And I have to say, Sina, you absolutely NAILED it! Your playing lifted my spirits and made me, once again, recall my glory days of my youth. Thank you. You must surly be a Godsend, because you play like an angel with a lust for life!

Another great cover by Sina. You have no idea how good it makes us older people feel to see young people enjoy the music we still love.

Can I just tell you what a phenomenal Rock drummer you are? Not to embarrass you, but you are better than a lot of old, veteran drummers I know in America (I've been a working drummer for over 35+ years). Your feel, your time, your technique, your taste, your approach, your innate instinct are all spot-on. You're so far ahead of the game. I wish I'd had the chops you have now at your age. It's a joy to watch you swat those things. I also love your love of 70s/80s classic Rock. That you're keeping it alive and introducing other young people to it is huge. Look forward to hearing more from you. You are the real deal. Brava!!!❤👏👏👏👏👏

Sina. Your drumming skills are Fantastic. as well as the other instruments you play. For someone so young.
Your playing of classic rock. Most people your age never even heard these songs.
I have been a drummer for over 30 years. and I still learned from you. I always kept playing my drums harder to get more punch
but I learned from you that harder is not better. Just ask my drumheads. Lol. I currently have an DM 10 of electronic drums.
But I was raised on the set you have on this video, And I miss them a lot. Keep on Rocking!!
