The fact that he's not in the rock and roll hall of fame is a crime

Jim Steinman is quite possibly one of the greatest American song writers to ever live.

Meat was so unique for his time. There was nothing else like this when this album came out. Dude needs to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Meat Loaf never half-assed his performances. He put his blood, sweat, and tears into every incredible song. He and Steinman will always be the greatest duo in rock and roll for me.

The Cat playing keyboard is Jim Steinman, who wrote most of Meatloaf's songs and is a mad genius in his own right.

The whole album is worth a listen. Every song is solid.

Mr. Loaf has a talent for making the audience think he's done, only to show them that he had not yet started.

I was 16 in 1978 and my friend and I were allowed to go to the Bat out of Hell concert in Sydney Australia the only catch was our mother's had to come as well. That wasn't the most embarrassing part...our mothers ripped up the aisle rocking away to Meatloaf. I'm now 58 and I have to admit that is my most treasured memory I have she was a pretty cool mum.

One of my favorite quotes from Meatloaf: "You know how they say some people make it look easy? Here's my secret: I make it look *really* hard."

I don't know if anyone has told you that the "Bat Out of Hell" album was originally written as a rock opera...thus the show.

Seriously, this album is one of the greatest rock 'n' roll albums of all time. Every single song on it is a hit, and you should listen to every single one. Jim Steinman (who wrote the songs) and Meatloaf (who sang them) came together and between them created something that will endure forever in the annals of music history. I've listened to it so many times, and certainly will so many more.

The "Bat out of Hell" album was produced by Todd Rundgren, basically nobody in the music industry wanted to touch it at the time. Anyway, they had finished recording the entire album and Todd was in the studio wrapping things up when Jim Steinman showed up and asked Todd where the motorcycle sound was, don't you have any effects or something? Todd looked at Jim and said "I don't do effects." Todd then, rather sarcastically, asked Jim, "you were serious about the motorcycle?" Jim responded "Yes." So Todd said, if you want an effin' motorcycle, I'll give you one, to which he picked up his guitar plugged it in to an Amp, turned the tape deck on and proceeded to record the motorcycle sound...in one take, no less. You can hear the motorcycle, well actually, Todd's guitar sounding like a motorcycle at 6:53 in your video. Just a fun back-story fact.

He's one of the few who was really ready to die with his boots on every time He took the stage. He gave his health literally for the love of the fans, while he could have been recouping, he refused to give fans halfass ever!

Also have to give proper respect to Jim Steinman who was the album ' Bat Out of Hell' composer. Todd Rudgren was the producer of the album.

Oh yeah!!!. Also react to "You Took The Words Out Of My Mouth", "For Crying Out Loud", "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)", ""Objects In The Rearview Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are", "Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through", "It Just Won't Quit", and "It's All Coming Back To Me Now".

I was fortunate to see him live, twice. Once with an orchestra. He was the ultimate showman. It wasn’t just a concert, it was an experience. RIP Meatloaf.
