Blaming Capitalism for Moral issues it's like blaming 'Mathematics' for any accountants' mistakes!...

In order to work, capitalism must exploite workers, meaning capitalists must sacrifice others to benefit their own needs. She is wrong about the value system of capitalism.

Being a studied and practiced participant in Rand’s way of thinking, she is right on many levels except this core issue.
Capitalism with compassion and social values beats her kind of irresponsible capitalism hands down.

Capitalism was never meant solely for self benefit. It always carried weight with social responsibility.

Her point of trade between people to exchange values is bang on. Her concept not to compromise with people who are takers alone is extremely useful.

But fundamentally humankind progresses exponentially precisely because capitalism is meant to be compassionate at its core.

If this is true, which you make a good argument for, it means that each person within the United States, regardless of relationship, is self serving in that anything he gives he loses. Surely this makes sense, however, there is a principle within relationships of a general give and take, which in the extremes serves two characters. In the one extreme and held in high regard, is philanthropy, and in the other, criminality, serves for abusers of this principle. Therefore, while the truth that capitalism is in fact serving the bottom line for each person, it accounts for a range of behaviors that supersede the immediate cost of the give and take. To simplify this train of thought think of each giving as an investment. Whether or not you get immediate returns either monetary or social is not ultimately secured, however, it does affect the presence of this principle. Some people call this Karma, others call it God, and as a nation created under God, we have created laws and systems to bring honor to this principle, to the best of our abilities.

Is it a perfect system? Nope.. but it allows freedoms of thought not available in any other system created by man so far..

Really, this is an 'ends' based Kantian philosophy for yourself and others, which precludes selfless altruism. The conflict is really with utilitarianism.

What an awful philosopher by an even more awful philosopher—that is, if you think she is a philosopher at all! God help us.
