DJI Goggles 2 are the most UNCOMFORTABLE goggle I've EVER used with DISASTEROUS optics

DJI Goggle 2 is uncomfortable, especially on my nose bridge. Edges of the optics are a little blurred as well. Both of these issues make them deal breakers for me. Can it be fixed with just some new, thicker foam? I'm afraid not. I'll explain why. I'm sticking with DJI FPV Goggles V1/V2 for now.

April 2023 update:

The feedback on this video has been amazing since I uploaded it. Thank you to everyone who contributed. Unfortunately, DJI has been silent on any official fixes for these issues for Goggle2 users and I do not think we will ever see one.

There are now third party foams, but they are a crap shoot. If you have only 1 of the issues, for example, the optical blur, then one of the thinner third party foams will probably help with getting your eyes closer to the optics. But if you have both issues like I do, then it could increase discomfort at the face. And, if your eyes get too close to the optics, your eyelashes will touch them, and it will not feel right. The reality is that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for Goggle2 that will magically fix this for you. It depends highly on your eyesight, and your face shape.

DJI released the Integra Goggle here, which resolved the blurred optics issue and significantly improved comfort for me. I have released a video review of them here, and would strongly suggest considering them over the G2 if you are like me.

Thanks for the review! I'm actually impressed by the new Goggles 2. Its size for one is already a big advantage when compared to say the V2. It's practically new tech on a new device so I'm holding my judgment yet and I'd expect lots of updates to follow.

My experience with the G2: Extreme pressure on the nose, massive light leak on the bottom, too close to the lens and blurry on the edges(think its just my bad eyesight). Well done! John

Good video! I also found Goggles V2 more comfortable than the Goggles 2. I've cut the foam around the nose area and it's a bit better but then the weight of the goggles makes them slip down on my face and had to tighten the strap a lot so to keep them on my eyes. So I wen't back to uncut foam for now.

Nicely explained/detailed John! Although, I’m not having the issue your reporting I can totally understand what your experiencing. They are ABSOLUTELY NOT as comfortable as the DJI FPV Goggles (v1 / v2). For me, I’m hoping the foam padding will improve that…just waiting for DJI to have the foam back in stock. I have the v1 goggles so had to get new goggles compatible with the AVATA. Sucks DJI is always forcing us to upgrade gear for compatibility! Love the small form factor of the DJI Goggles 2, but they are absolutely NOT as comfortable as the older FPV goggles. 👍👍👍

Great info! Got a very similar nose. I bit the bullet and cut the nose foam completely out. I also took an exacto knife to the forehead area. This put my eyes closer to the lenses. Then put some thin strips of self adhesive foam across the cheek area and side of the face. Took about an hour. I now have a nice fit with 95% clear screen. I did this because I noticed with any foam I could position the goggles for good visibility. The key was getting my eyes closer and clearing the way for my nose. Something to think about.

I had high hopes for these goggles, but I heard others complain about having issues with fitting over the nose. So this is just not your nose. Hopefully they figure something out. This is another item I can remove from my cart at the DJI store. Great video John, and thanks for sharing.

Good comparisons. The first thing I noticed when I put Kelly's on, was that the left and right sides aren't snug. As you mentioned, they are made for flatter faces.

The image quality is amazing though.

Thank you for your honest review. This is the second true review on YT with this issue for the goggles blurry vision. The rest of the payed influencer didnt say anything regarding this aspect.
