We're going to go ahead and install this Evolution CS performance chip from Edge Products, into our 2013 GMC. This is what this kit comes with. It comes with the controller unit, the cable for attaching it to the computer of the vehicle, glass mount pedestal for attaching the controller unit, and then you also have a USB cable for attaching it to your computer system, to get product updates from Edge.

The first step is to go ahead and attach this cable in this truck. So we're going to get started with that.

We take our OBD-II connection end and plug it into the diagnostic instrument. And once we have that installed, then we'll go ahead and run this wire up through underneath this dash and bring it out to where we can plug it into our control unit.

What we want to do is go ahead and remove the fuse panel cover, because we're going to run our cable through that area just to keep it from hanging down on our feet when we're driving the vehicle.

Okay. Now that we have that in the basic position that we're going to use it, we'll go ahead and get our window pedestal mount and our control unit and get those set up.

All right. Now that we've got our window mount pedestal in place, we'll go ahead and hook up our control unit and get it set into that mount and get our cable run to where we need it.

Now what we're going to do is we're going to take this cable and we're going to plug it into the longer of the two connection points on the back of this unit. Once we have that plugged in, you see the unit is starting to power on, and we're going to go ahead, before we do the set-up on this, and go ahead and mount it up in our mount and finish running this wiring.

Okay. Now that we've got our wiring all tucked away neatly where we want it, we're going to go ahead and put our fuse panel cover back in place.

Okay. Now that we've got our chip installed, we're going to go ahead and program the settings. Okay. We have stock, which is what your truck comes from, from the factory. We have a level one, which is your transmission, which changes your shift points. We have level two, which is economy, which is for fuel mileage of course. And then we have level three, which is if you have a trailer on the back of your truck and you're towing something
and you need a little more power and a little different shifting. And then, of course, we have extreme. That's for you guys who like to really get it in the dirt and do some off-roading. What we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and just set this one in the middle here, on economy.

Now that we've got our chip installed, we've checked it to make sure everything is functioning properly, we've got all the settings adjusted to the way that we want them for this particular vehicle. So now this would complete our installation of this Evolution CS chip from Edge Products. 866-554-0581 Free shipping for orders over $100!

Hey Alec, No you cannot,  In order to change it you have to turn the vehicle off. The reason it has to be turned off and on is because it has to reset and reprogram the vehicles computer. Different air/fuel ratios and transmission shift points. Thanks!

is it really worth getting? I see they now have the cs2 out. I have same vehichle make, but with 6 inch lift and 33s. was thinking of going back to stock wheels for lighter weight to save mpgs. but wondering if this tune, cold air, and exhaust will help that out? thanks
