Not in the same bracket as Bruno Fernandes? Bruno got 8 goals and 8 assists last season and Maddison got 10 goals and 9 assists in a relegated Leicester team. What are you on about?

Mark, Maddison has 6 more g/a in the past two seasons than Bruno with about 1400 minutes playing for a much worse team. Saying he’s nowhere near Bruno is a little ridiculous.

If Rice had stayed an Ireland player, Arsenal would get him for 50 million.

Not on Bruno's League attacking midfielders in the last 2 seasons:

Kevin De Bruyne: 46 g/a
James Maddison: 39 g/a
Martin Ødegaard: 33 g/a
Bruno Fernandes: 32 g/a

I really admire Arsenal’s switch in ambition considering how stubborn Stan Kroenke used to be. Wish John Henry was like that with Liverpool on a more consistent basis.

The best part for Rice. He wont have to move house, move family, put kids in a new school etc. This is an aspect of transfers that people never seem to consider.

Maddison isn't in the KDB category (who else is?) but I do think he's firmly in the Bruno Fernandes category. More goals and assists from fewer games last season, for a relegated side... think it's pretty wide of the mark to say he "doesn't belong anywhere near the conversations of ... Bruno Fernandes". He definitely does.

Maddison is a good signing for spurs surprised he chose them over Newcastle, but tbh I think spurs desperately need a new CB they lack there badly. Love the content Mark 🙌

As a neutral I really hope he does go to Arsenal. He is a fantastic player and will improve Arsenal a lot, and hopefully allow them to challenge Man City again.

Maddison has more goal contributions than Bruno in the last two years 💀

The transfers of Alexis Sanchez, Maguire, Fred and Cucurella come into mind.
Man City left the negotiation table when they felt that the asking price was too high in each of these cases.

Maddison is elite look at his numbers 40 million for a English player with them numbers is ridiculous easily better then mount

West Ham asking price as per the rumors was always £100; if Rice signed for City same people saying City inflated the price, will be mocking Arsenal 😂

I believe the Maddison deal is a better deal than the Rice deal. If Maddison had been playing in a better team than Leicester last season his stats would be up there with Rice’s stats and at over half the price for an England international like Maddison he will shine at Spurs and Kane’s goals will increase if he stays due to the service

BREAKING: Manchester City have pulled out of the race for Declan Rice and will not match or surpass Arsenal’s latest bid. 🚨

£105 Million is a hell of a lot for Rice. With a price tag like that he has to be the best. But as an Arsenal fan, I dread that he might turn out to be the Harry Maguire of Arsenal (for want of a better term)

Go look at Maddison’s stats in the last 3 season in the prem only behind de Bruyne for midfielders goal contributions, massive signing for spurs

Buzzing with the maddison deal, the type of player we've been needing for years. For 40 mill too, a bargain. Fingers crossed he fits with ange's system 🤞
