You can do 1st fret or 6th fret depending on which chord shapes you want.

I used to think capos were cheating, but if you just use them to do interesting shapes that you’d otherwise have to retune for it’s neat

My favourite use of the capo is Fire and Rain by James Taylor, defo worth a listen

My favorite use of capos are on open tunings. John butlers - Ocean is a really good example and he plays it on a 12 string in open c but the capo changes it to E major. Could you imagine trying to play something like that with bar chords and standard 0_0 (potential challenge Brandon lol)

Capo seems like a simpler than usual short subject, almost as if he is avoiding G minor at all costs 🤔

Something I'd like to say is that it’s a different voicing than the barre chord. Great for overdubbing.
