I think Raven has some self hating issues, because im white and was super excited when we were taught this in History. I was suoer excited for a black woman to be on an American dollar bill. Its about time a black woman gets some credit.

Rosie Perez is always the voice of reason when Raven Symone opens up her mouth and says something stupid. Rosa Parks is more progressive to today's cause? Harriet Tubman was the PIONEER for equal rights. I don't knock her choice but her reasoning for it is just...so Raven 😂😂

I can't wait until the bill comes out, so I can start saying to people. " Hey bro let me hold a Tub"

Raven clearly does not like her history. Our history American history.... Harriet Tubman should be celebrated on our money.

I'm against this and it's not because of her gender, or skin color. I'm against this because of the fact that, slavery was a money making business. Slaves were traded like factory parts, so plantations could make money. Why insult the memory of Harriet by putting her on the 20? Why insult the memory of Rosa Parks by putting her on the 20? These incredible women fought against institutional racism. Putting them on the 20, would mean that their faces would go to privatized prison heads; and police departments where they're taught, to attack unarmed black teens. Why would you want to ruin the legacies of these women by doing this?

Why do people want Rosa on the $20? All she did was not get up a seat. Plenty of black people have done that before she did it. Harriet Tubman risked her life to save dozens of slaves for years and she helped with the Civil war!  Rosa is overrated. Harriet deserves recognition.

I think she said she chose Rosa Parks because she was so light. Imo

Raven Symone needs to retire from television, or at least refrain from a talk show where she speaks her thoughts.

I think Martin Luther King, Jr will probably be the 1st black person to be on any form of US currency.

I'd be flabbergasted if Obama was on a bill. Obama made history.

I can't believe that people are actually arguing about the fact that Raven said that she doesn't want Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill! What people need to be concerned about is why a freakin loaf of bread is damn near $4 because this money is devaluing like hell!

I think thats a great idea to add either one. Rosa Parks or Harriet Tubman but I would love to see President Obama on it, Now that will bring out the racism for sure.

"I freed a thousand slaves I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves."

-Harriet Tubman

"If you hear the dogs, keep going. If you see the torches in the woods, keep going. If there's shouting after you, keep going. Don't ever stop. Keep going. If you want a taste of freedom, keep going."

-Harriet Tubman

According to Raven Symone, she doesn't consider herself to be "African American" or "black."  She emphatically stated this on Oprah's show.  OK, fine.  So she's not black, neither does she consider herself to be.  But hold up a sec, at 5:24 she states and I quote, "I'm in that culture, " in reference to being schooled in black history.  Oh, so now she's "conveniently" black?  o_O I digress: Put Harriet Tubman's image on the $20.00, and when Ms. Raven "I'm not black" Symone makes a purchase, I hope the cashier gives her a $20.00 bill with Harriett Tubman's face gracing the 20! >:(
