Voidokilia Greece Peloponnese
Voidokilia beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean area, very popular for its round shape, the golden sand and the turquoise waters. Located in Messinia in the South Peloponnese, 14 km north of Pylos and 278 km from Athens. It is between Sfaktiria islet and Gialova Lagoon from which a strip of sand dunes divide them. On the south side there is the Palaiokastro, a medieval castle of the 13th century built by the Franks. Visitors have to walk about 20 minutes but the view of the whole area is breathtaking.
