VITAMIX FROZEN DESSERTS (recipe and demo)

NOTES:

Whether you have a narrow container or a wide container, an older Vitamix or a new one, you should be able to make frozen desserts (ice creams, sorbets, etc!) with your Vitamix without needing to use the freezer.

In this video, we walk through the standard ice cream recipe for Vitamix.

Narrow container: 1 cup liquid with 1 pound of frozen

Wide container: 1.5 cups liquid with 1.5 pounds of frozen

You should only process for about a minute. If you blend for longer, you're going to get soup. :)

As always thanks for watching and for supporting our work.

I have an original 1969 Vitamix, metal container instead of glass or plastic, with the 'Action Chute' top on it. Still growing strong, and it's 51 years old!

Vitamin is the best I ever bought.❤️ when I make ice cream I know what is in it.

Great video, I learned something from it. When I tried blending frozen fruits without much liquid, I thought the blades were getting jammed. However, I learned from your video that the blades were actually just spinning under the frozen mix without contact with the thick frozen fruit, and actually needed the tamper to push the thick mix into the blades.

I like how you're standing on the left of the screen, but your voice came out on the right stereo. LOL

What ratio for the larger 8 cup container, or is it the same 1.5 cup ratio shown last in this demonstration?

Most blenders, the noise of the grinding frozen fruit would be a sign of impending death. Had to get over that sensation with my Vitamix.

0.13 - 0.17 I HATE that part. Anyways, I also dnt eat yogurt but I still use some. There is Dairy-Free yogurts. I eat So Delicious Coconut yogurt or Silk made with soybean.

I would like yo make something similar to yogen fruz. Could I freeze Greek vanilla yogurt into cubes and use frozen blueberries and mango for an instant frozen yogurt? Or would all things being frozen and no liquid wreck the motor? Would love to know if I could do it...or maybe see you all attempt it. 😁

Music is so loud it drowns out whatever the Chef is saying about the ice-cream other than it freezes solid in a container. Are you supposed to put the Vitamix jug in the freezer?

How long is it supposed to be running? Mine went into liquid right away and never went thick but not hard. Did it for a minute and heavy tampering. Almond milk, one cup, strawberries frozen, one pound. Walnuts. Did I miss something?
