There’s a saying you should listen to; “If you want to go on a safari, take a Land Rover. If you want to come back from that safari, take a Land Cruiser”

This is cool. Maybe I'm in the minority but I miss the Raptor rescue videos.

OH Man. I'm so pumped to see videos of the Discovery. I absolutely LOVE the timeless look of it and it's capabilities. Take good care of it. Give it a good checkup and a nice light bar. Let's see the winch in action too.

You are not supposed to run lockers full time. They are meant to be engaged when you need them

Aren't recovery vehicles supposed to be dependable?

Just picked up a 2002 LR D2 with 80K All original, it has minor oil leaks (Oil Pan, Valve Covers), the front window regulators have problems, the three amigos.... Other than those small items, the truck is FANTASTIC! It is comfortable, handles well, plenty of power to tow. (7K Capacity), Fully Boxed Frame, Aluminum Hood, front fenders, rear quarter panels & rear barn door so the CG is low on the chassis. Very capable rig off road & also an attention getter.

I swear TFL has found the perfect ratio of camera time inside and outside their rigs. No one else on YouTube has found this.

At least you guys have guaranteed content with all the repairs you'll be making

Nice addition to the team. It might be a problem for those who aren't enlightened, but you all are : )

We owned a Disco2. My wife stated "it's like driving a delapotaed high rise down the road." We had nothing but electrical issues from day 1. off road it was unstoppable, even with the stock street tires. I had to pull out 2 off road built Jeeps with her. They couldn't believe it, not could I.

Think y’all made a great choice! You’ve got it nicely outfitted, sounds like y’all found one of the rare ones that’ll last you a long time. Also one of the best looking models in my opinion. I can’t wait to see more videos of this thing. If the abs system ever fails and you need that off road traction control, you’ve already got the ARB compressor, you could just throw the air lockers on. Great job y’all!

my dad bought that same truck about four years ago when it was 10 years old and its been pretty reliable...no mechanical issues but the check engine light has a yearly habit of coming on and needing some odd piece, but it gets used offroad for the Tucson rough riders 4x4 club

As someone who has off roaded and worked on discos the key is preventative maintenance and if you have that under control it's a sweet ride

I hope Andre brings his H2 to tow you home.

Hmm. Thinking that buying this Disco is going to be you’re adventure/rescue rig is like marrying a proctologist and saying you’ll always be healthy. You are going to end up with a daily pain in the rear.

I think for the price, you guys got a heck of a deal! Welcome to the Rover club TFL, from the Rovers out here in Texas!
