C5 Corvette Wheel Upgrade Pt 2

Welcome back to Pt 2 of the Wheel Upgrade videos! After a slight delay, we are finally installing the C6 wheels we purchased a few weeks ago on our 2001 Corvette. After some research, we chose Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 tires. Let us know what you think about the combo! As a bonus, we throw in a front hood seal from Midwest Corvettes. Bought my wheels from the same place 3 months ago and mine had one centercap missing. I contacted the manufacturer and they overnighted a replacement for also ordered the cross flag decals from a separate vendor.

I like your channel. I'm from Italy, I've got a C5 A4 m.y. 2000 for 2 years now, it's good to see some new channels of enthusiasts with a C5 at the beginning, i.e. still quite close to stock. Good job, man.

I see I had the same wheels on my C5 but I have 19s all away around 275 under front and 285 but going higher on the back ones. I found a good deal for four of those Wheels $400 with tires so I bought them they fit

I put 19 in or around mine 275 on the front 305 on the back they fit

I'm running the same wheel setup, C6 rims, but with with spacers in the rear.

Nice video those new wheels look amazing I'm thinking about getting the same wheels for my C5. And putting my C5 wheels on my C4, I don't like my sawblade Wheels. Would like more feedback on the new tires .

I run with the Michelin run flats good tires but definitely a little ruffer but thats ok, but in the snow? Can't wait to see if they are good in snow

Did your c6 rims are oem gm ? And did you need spacers ? I am putting the same wheels with Firestone firehawk tires this week, I have seen some on Facebook that needed spacers like 1/4

NIce job! Both styles of rims are nice, did you see a firmer ride with less sidewall in the front tires ? Must’ve missed an earlier video about the gasket seal in the rear of the engine compartment. So removing the rear one and adding the front one eliminates the hood from lifting on higher speeds ?

honestly i can barely tell you even changed the rims, had i not been for the tree holding the camera for that angle i would have assumed you took the rims off cleaned them and simply put them back on

You couldn’t give me a set of run flat tires ! Super stiff sidewalls and very noisy!
