Otto Frei has a nice set made in France with replaceable tips including the rotating base for $56

Thank you for this informative video. I'm taking the plunge into hobby watch making, and the price of tools is ridiculous. Most of the stuff that says "Made in Switzerland" is made in Asia, with the add-on being the logo in Europe. It's good to know that there are quality tools available to hobbyists who don't have the financial resources to buy the branded stuff.

They are sold under a number of brand names. These screwdrivers work quite well indeed. Ignore the insecure critics who think they need to hide behind an expensive brand.

Bought the set.The 3rd smallest size bent/ twisted while using.Admittedly, was on a stuck screw that held a spring down in a 50 year old watch.Could NOT get the screw out so had to stop at that point since it was holding down the movement works gear.I used two of the other sizes and they performed screws that were NOT watch.( seconds hand works but hour and minutes hand do not move except when adjusting with canon pinion could not get to it to crimp it tighter.
I will be able to repair the tip of the driver with a sharpening was disappointed it bent as easy as it did.😕

I see you have a microscope, it would have been nice to see really close up side by side. But thanks for the tip!

Amazon link says brand/model is Optima 55-640 is that correct? Might you have a new link to where they are available?

I bought these after seeing your video. Hands down they are as good if not a little bit better my bergeon 360 bucks for half the price and a more complete selection

Do these say "made in France"? I have a set of Eurotool from Esslinger and it was 6 for $22 and they seem well made. They appear to be identical in the same blue pouch that are sold as A*F Switzerland.

I bought a $9 dollar set of Chinese screwdrivers and replaced the blades with broken drill bits that I annealed. Works well. Blades are very hard and hold their shapes well. No point on wasting money.

When you click the link, the brand is not Armway, they are Optima and currently unavailable as well. I sure would love to buy the Armway drivers.

China makes low quality but it also makes high quality, but because of branding it’s difficult to know which is which

It’s easy for Chinese companies to replicate these screwdrivers. They look the same, but the steel quality is subpar.

Hi. The link is no longer valid. Do you have an update please?

I bought a set of these right after breaking a Bergeon tip. They were just as much garbage as the Bergeon's. I need to find a 20+ years-old set to see if they are worth a damn. Alternatively, I am considering just machining my own tips and then hardening them.

Link is dead. Do you know where I can source these or a comparable set?

Thank you very much for your help. I’m not rich, I bought really cheap ones and they are total crap. Made out of dog food tins I think.

They are pavoned harden steel? What's your opinion vs stainless steel ones?
