I have just been on the EDF website to claim a refund, there is a section saying if you in credit you can get a refund but there is no online form or any other way of claiming.
I also tried reducing my payments, from Jan to March I paid £200 per month although my payments are set at £151 per month, they won't let me go below £160 because it will take my payments below what they set my direct debit at [£151, work that one out!]
I reckon I am around £600 more in credit than I need to be, luckily I get a bill in about 5 weeks.
I bought a multi fuel stove so have used 75% less gas than normal

Living in Thailand and watching the UK energy crisis on YouTube, I set myself a challenge to go to UK and live in the crisis and beat it.
I'm a single unemployed man and skilled at being frugal. I've been back since the beginning of 2023. I live in a self-contained studio. My daily energy costs are mostly £1 per day, some days it goes through the roof at £1.40p and my monthly DD is £55. I will be applying for a refund from my energy supplier soon. Had I not wanted to be self-contained I could've lived even cheaper.
I feel that I have won the challenge I set myself and feel good about it 😁
