Ixtapa was developed by the Mexican Government in the 70s like Cancun, Cabo and Huatulco for the expressed purpose of attracting tourism to this area. Our favorite destination in Mexico hands down, I am glad to see you guys made it there. Winter months in the pacific northwest are kind of depressing so we get down in Jan-Feb which is a great time to be there. When I was young and single I liked the faster pace in Ixtapa but at this point in my life my wife and I love the slower pace at Playa La Ropa. I should be mad at you guys for spreading our gold mine with your viewers but love ya anyway. Buena vida my friends.

Playa Linda looks a lot more local. Seems like a great place to go for the day and get a taste of some traditional Mexican dishes outside of your hotel.

We had our honeymoon in Ixtapa in 1988. It's changed alot since then. Thank you for sharing and bringing back memories. We stayed in Camino Real Westin which had a private beach.

Great video guys. Thanks for sharing Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo. We had the opportunity to go there on 2019. We stayed at Las Brisas hotel in Ixtapa a beautiful hotel designed by a famous Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta. I can say that we enjoyed Ixtapa and its modern ambiance, walkable areas, clean streets and beach. At the same time, we loved Zihuatanejo. We went there to eat, shop around and enjoy the beach as well. Definitely, this is a place that you want to visit more not only once.

This is a very nice quiet place, a good option for families. We’ve been there multiple times. During the summer there is a lot of local tourism, in the winter it’s packed with Canadians. Nice video, saw a few new places that we’ll like to explore in our next visit.
