Reference- A.I.R. 1980, S.C. 1579.

Subject- This case is based on Article 32 of the Indian Constitution in which a letter was sent by a prisoner, Sunil Batra, regarding the brutal assault by a Head Warder on another prisoner, Prem Chand. In this public interest writ the rights of prisoners and duties of the Court have been explained.
