MQ-25 completed its first test flight on Sept. 19, 2019. This historic milestone puts the U.S. Navy’s first operational unmanned aerial refueler a step closer to the carrier fleet.

I worked on UCAS x-47B. We paved the way for all the hard stuff, the unmanned CAT and TRAP and we even demonstrated aerial refueling. But Northorp decided to drop its final bid and bow out of the MQ-25 program

With the retirement of S-3 Vikings and the adoption of using buddy refueling this was sorely needed. As the CAPT said, there are limited number of super hornets in the wing and having them doing refueling was keeping them from doing fleet defense or strike packages. It is very expensive but it is a needed technology that in 15 years will seem like a no brainer.

This shows what Boeing is capable of, it's a Shane something as elementary as a B737 seems to be beyond their basic engineering comprehension..that said, congratulations to the Engineers and other stakeholders ❤️

Did they change the design? It was a flying triangle last I checked it looked like the A12 avenger 2.

Still believe that BOEING is capable of installing two <2> small video cameras on commercial aircraft platforms that can provide basic forward & aft vision, especially aimed at blind spots and even useful for NTSB {& similar} investigations and-or tower assisting in many places. i.e. a general aviation unit below or what is happening behind. What is happening near the nose wheel- landing gear bay? Medium resolution is better than zero visibility. Long list of positives.
