First, thank you for doing the work! Very interesting too. I tend to do my grocery shopping like you do. I maintain and rotate a pantry and then shop the sales. I meal plan based on what I have. It saves me a ton of money. We definitely can’t sleep on prices.

I found that having each store's app on my phone 📲 is very helpful. I can compare prices at each store before going. 👍

Thank you so much Kristin! I shop on Wednesdays at my local HEB here in South Texas for sales and looking forward to comparing to Walmart. No Aldi and no Kroger, although I hear “Kroger Delivery” is up in SA now. Sure wish an Aldi would come to the area! Thank you for all your hard work! God bless!

Yesterday at dinner we were talking about grocery prices and such and my husband and daughter both said that Kroger is in negotiation to purchase Meijer. My daughter lives in Rhode Island and she was driving to our house in TN and while going thru Ohio she said the Meijer grocery store gas stations have already started changing names.

Aldi is my primary store. Then watch a few more local stores for good sales.

So much work, doing this! Thank you! ❤
I love this kind of thing, I always try to keep track of which store in my town has the lowest prices on things.
I don't buy anything unless it's on sale or a decent price. 🤷🏻‍♀️
This is why I have to go to multiple stores (Walmart, Woodmans, Aldi, Festival, & Hyvee) good thing they're all within a couple blocks of each other! 😅
Daily deals at Hyvee or a good sale at another🥫 store is when I stock up a lot on a certain item.

Sams & Aldi has best price for meat here. Aldi & Woodmans for produce.
Our Walmart is comparable to Aldi since covid hit-they are definitely competing. 😀
But a weird thing our walmarts produce & some dairy is high 😮 compared to other people's hauls I see on YouTube. So I rarely buy those there.

It did not surprise me that Aldi was lowest. But again, there are some things we can’t get at Aldi. Good Job!

I went ahead and got the $10 Sam's Club membership. I think today is the last day for that current 40th anniversary deal. I have a Costco membership but I saw a couple things that might be cheaper at Sam's to pay for itself. My Sam's and Costco are just about a miles apart. It has been over 10 years since I have had a Sam's membership.

We don't have Aldi's in Utah.

I definitely shop wherever I can get the items cheapest so I normally just have a buy price which has been harder and harder in the new economy. Aldi is for sure my go to for anything that I can’t stock up on sale. We are lucky to have a lot of stores in a small area so stopping at a store on the way somewhere is super easy. I shop Aldi, Lidl, Wegmans, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Walmart, target, giant, Safeway and Harris teeter. There are very few things I can get at Walmart but most places I go to enough to stock up on the best quality and best price. Love the apps and I wish Aldi made it easier to check and use.

That’s a good idea! But my case is very different! Lol! The Aldi I would have to drive to is a 25 to 30 minutes drive at least if not more and there are so many traffic lights etc. well then the store is so small not a big store! The products have stunk in size and people are really buying them saying it is such great deals! But they couldn’t be figuring the size in the product! And I spent my time, more gas sooo. I’m sure you get the picture. Winn Dixie they do bogo where you buy one and it’s like saving Xantech. Well when figured up they had increased the prices which is not a savings. Occasionally you may find something but not to warrant because you can get cheaper Walmart because I am not devoted to all name brands. Rouses I go strictly for sales but you have to be care because they Do not honor their adds all the time. Anyway I hope by my explaining this is to caution be pay attention and be aware of sales which are not sales! I hope I have not offended anyone by my opinion. And you my dear friend are so correct with your informationTy for taking your time and efforts to research and edit these videos!!!

But how does this add up once you add in things like gas points at Kroger and perks?

The cheapest store around here (Pacific Northwest) is hands down, WinCo. There are NO Aldi stores in WA, OR, or ID, so that's out. WinCo beats Walmart prices most all the time! I still shop Kroger's sales as sometimes their digital deals are great! 🙂

Nice work, however it would probably be best to call it the east of the Mississippi lowest prices. Out here in the easily most populous state in the USA - California - only Walmart is widely available. Interesting information nonetheless. I realize that 80% of the USA population lives east of the Mississippi but we populous states WAAAAY out west like to be included too.
