The Science of Pain Management

Показать описание
Physician and pain researcher Amy Baxter MD invented mechanical stimulation as way to utilize the physiology of gate control to reduce pain.
Gate Control is a physiological mechanism that occurs as pain signals make their way along nerves, through the spine, and into the brain. Other signals from mechanoreceptors that sense motion, pressure, and temperature are priotized at a gate check-point in the spine. The mechanoreceptor signals make it to the brain becauseyour body deems them as more important than the pain signals.
