FINALLY a Red Velvet NY Cookie! You guys have been wanting this recipe for SO LONG so we thought it was about time we gave it to you!
Don't forget to take photos and tag us on Instagram, @cupcakejemma @sallydells @danepemberton and use the tag #cupcakejemma so we can see your bakes. And make sure to check out our 'Bake at Home' play list for some perfect isolation baking!

We filmed this video before the outbreak of COVID-19 at our Soho store which is of course now shut temporarily.

Baking Kits are currently available for Domestic Shipping only - we're really sorry and are working with our carriers to find a workable solution for other countries but it's UK-only for now.

Thank you so much to everyone who has ordered one of our Cupcake or Cookie kits as well as all our Merch and Baking Tools over on CUPCAKEJEMMA.COM. Crumbs & Doilies is a small business with no outside investment so every order placed online is helping us to survive the outbreak and keep all our wonderful staff employed. We are so touched by everyone's support, it really means the world to us.

Big love and stay safe.
Jemma, Sally, Dane and all the C&D and Cupcake Jemma team.

Making the world a better place one cookie at a time. I think the cookie kits are the best thing, it's really great and such a nice way to still get people sweets but also getting them more active in the kitchen. I know I've been doing an awful lot of baking, mainly because baking helps me sleep when I'm under a lot of stress. It isn't the eating part but the baking part that puts me at ease. But feeding people is kinda the only way I know how to express affection. If I feed you, I love you.

Hello all my Americans 😬 I tired this and it took a couple of trial and error but for me baking at 360 for 13-14 min was perfect. I tried 400 and 375 but the outside was wayyy to crunchy. Hope this helps anyone trying to bake 🙃💕

I did a couple years of pastry arts in college. I actually had to tell my professor that Red velvet isn't vanilla cake with chocolate, it's chocolate cake with white vinegar, he discovered it to be true in other pastry books in the college. Surprise surprise.

The vinegar gives it the famous red velvet taste, the difference of the flavors are obvious between red velvet and chocolate. If your not putting vinegar into your "red velvet pastry" then it's going to only taste like chocolate. The vinegar alters the flavour of chocolate it's a reaction that actually changes the way chocolate tastes altogether giving it that famous red velvet taste, science.

I wonder why so many people don't know this, everyone has to know this. The countless times I've had a red velvet cookie from bakery's and they just taste like chocolate lol.
Even little Debbie's do it correctly with white vinegar in there red velvet treats ingredients 😂

I’ve resorted to eating soup for supper most nights just so I can continue baking and eating all these amazing recipes! I’m so delighted that we are being graced with these videos whilst in lockdown, it’s making the experience just that little bit more bearable. Much love to the C&D team, I hope everyone is healthy, happy and in good spirits. X

I made them yesterday and I put only 200g of white chocolate because I don't like my cookies too sweet and they turn out perfectly soft and chewy! Thanks guys!

I tried this with the food colouring(liquid type) because I didn't have the paste type and my family loved it. I used 2 tsp of it. great recipe! Worked amazing.

I made this yesterday and my god were these delicious! They’re so decadent, chewy, and gooey!

I replaced caster sugar with white sugar, cooked it at 350 deg for 16 mins and it turned out sooo good! They will set once they cool down, so don’t worry about it appearing raw.

Sticky toffee cookies with dates and caramel sauce would be amazing, Dane and Sally should create them as a surprise for Jemma as its her favourite pudding! 😍

I’m pondering a Snicker-esque version, with little nuggets of soft nougat, caramelised white choc and milk choc chips... 🤤
