As a Muslim, I want to express my solidarity with my Christian brothers and sisters in light of the recent mockery made against Christianity during the Paris Olympics. Disrespect towards any religion is unacceptable and hurts the fabric of our diverse, multicultural world. As a Roman Catholic, I was rightfully offended - not sheepishly tolerant - of the purposeful mockery of The Last Supper at the Olympic opening ceremonies.

Thomas Jolly will conjure any perverse DEl fallacy he can dream up to legitimize the blasphemy of mocking this solemn event in the life (and death) of Jesus Christ in order to get his “jollies" at the expense of billions of Catholics around the world.

I called the IOC, shared my disgust at their approving such a horrid display and demanded they issue an apology to Catholics everywhere.

As a French person, I must say that I am shocked, but not surprised by what has just happened. The French are not to blame; this reflects the ideology of the current government, which is no longer legitimate. There were elections that, given the outcome, should have led to the dissolution of this government, but the election results were not taken into account, and the government remained in place despite the election outcome.

Apparently you are only allowed to depict Christ in the Olympics if it's a mock depiction.
