We've all had experience with two dramatically different types of leaders. The first type drain intelligence, energy, and capability from the ones around them and always need to be the smartest ones in the room. These are the idea killers, the energy sappers, the diminishers of talent and commitment. On the other side of the spectrum are leaders who use their intelligence to amplify the smarts and capabilities of the people around them. When these leaders walk into a room, lightbulbs go off over people's heads, ideas flow, and problems get solved. These are the leaders who inspire employees to stretch themselves to deliver results that surpass expectations. These are the Multipliers. And the world needs more of them, especially now, when leaders are expected to do more with less.

Liz Wiseman is a researcher and executive advisor who teaches leadership to executives around the world. Some of her recent clients include: Apple, AT&T, Disney, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Nike, Salesforce, Tesla, and Twitter. Liz has been listed on the Thinkers50 ranking and in 2019 was recognized as the top leadership thinker in the world.

This podcast explains the difference between a multiplier and diminishers, wherein a multiplier is the one that uses intelligence i a way they amplify the capabilities of a team or individual, to innovate and engage in the abilities if others while diminisher is the one that help people holdback their position and shutdown them to their potential whether as a worker, business owner, or a servant in a community and etc. This is somehow a crucial phenomena in a life of a person because the movers and shakers of every industry always boils down to this kind of people. So it is a way of life to lift others and share things that can help and benefit the people and the environment we are in.

The value of Multipliers is that it demonstrates how these assumptions about people manifest themselves in practice and how they are reflected in your behavior. How would you approach your job differently if you believed that people are intelligent and capable of solving problems? People will astound you if you have a Multiplier mindset. They are going to give more. More information will be provided. What kinds of solutions could we come up with if we could tap into the world's underutilized brainpower? What else could you possibly do?
Multipliers accomplish more by leveraging (making greater use of) the intelligence and capabilities of those around them. They are considerate of others. "Multipliers are leaders who look beyond their own genius and concentrate their efforts on extracting and extending the genius of others." These are not "feel good" leaders. "They are tough and exacting managers who see a lot of potential in others and want to maximize that potential."
This can be seen in ourselves, others, and organizations of all sizes. Leaders are especially prone to running over people because they have the vision, know-how, and desire to get things done. We must slow down and remember that we are not only there to get the job done, but also to train others to do it. They can (and should be able to) do it without our help. It is our responsibility to show them how to maximize their potential."

This video is talking about Multipliers by written Liz Wiseman, she is the researcher and executive advisor who teaches leadership to executives around the world and she is sharing her experience about time at a business oracle. A multiplier is one of the most important tasks for a leader is to establish himself as someone worth following. The most effective leaders create an environment that is both relaxing and demanding. They can eliminate fear and generate a sense of security that encourages individuals to think creatively. At the same time, they create a demanding climate that requires everyone to give their all. Other leaders must be developed to do this and people want to work under a leader who allows them to develop and grow, so magnets attract high-quality personnel. So, Leaders must become genius-makers. Her book is really interesting and gives learned about leadership so it is really helpful. Thank you for giving in advance and sharing with me.

Liz Wiseman is a researcher and executive adviser who teaches leadership to CEOs all across the world, and she is sharing her experience working at a business oracle in this video on Multipliers. So what is a multiplier? One of the most crucial duties for a leader is to identify oneself as someone who deserves to be followed. The most effective leaders create a stimulating yet relaxed workplace. They can help people feel less afraid and more secure, which stimulates them to think creatively. Simultaneously, they create a challenging environment in which everyone must give their all. Magnets attract high-quality workers because other leaders must be created to achieve this, and people want to work for a leader who allows them to develop and progress. As a result, leaders must become geniuses.

The podcasts talk about the difference between the multipliers and the diminishers. The leaders who diminish or drain the energy of the people around them are like putting someone down, while the multipliers are the leaders who inspire the people around them. They are the ones who head up people around them and give the ideas they have just to make the people around them feel that they have a good leader that they can lean on on a rough day. Having a leader like multipliers is all we need, just like in times like these. We need a leader who we can trust and lean on during a hard time.

Multipliers assist us in becoming more efficient leaders by amplifying our team's strengths and dealing with managers who bring everyone down. The main takeaways from the book and podcast are that diminishers reduce their team's effectiveness and multipliers increase their team's capabilities. If you have a Diminisher boss, there is hope in learning and applying some defensive strategies; becoming a Multiplier and improving your workplace is as simple as following a few quick practices. Rather than attempting to be the best at everything, focus on one area where you can improve. Next, compare your assumptions to the qualities of Multipliers to identify your flaws and improve your attitude. Look to the five types of Multipliers for direction on where you excel and where you can improve. Most importantly, once you've become a Multiplier, continue to help others become Multipliers. Spread the word about what it means to be a Multiplier at your workplace to assist the entire team in discovering their unique talents and skills. Every individual in an organization, regardless of position, has the potential to become a game-changing Multiplier.
