As an OG player (started 10/07/2016, needed to download the APK to e able to play at that time) I have gone from a hardcore player back in the day to take a break after the raid changes to now an "event player". I just join all the major events like go fest, go tour and now the upcoming wild area event. I do buy the tickets for those and obviously connect with my local community during these events. On the side I like to still pop in during the halloween event (nostalgia is at play here for sure). I keep passive track on the changes and if intersting stuff happens (like dynamax battles) i'll up the activity. For me the remote raid changes did kind of kill the game because it was at that point that I dropped out after spending hundreds of euros's a month raiding and playing. This is mainly because I did no longer feel like go out to play the already played content at that point. Before I was always raiding to get better pokemon to raid more or to compete in go battle league while stuck at home.

Magnezone is now the best electric raid attacker when shadow, as well as one of the best overall when non shadow. So the electric magnetic event is certainly a lot more than "okay" for those that don't have enough of them or never had the shiny for either.

Normal Magnezone is only behind Xurkitree, Zekrom and Thunderus-T. So definitely a lot more accessible with little difference. (Xurk is the only non shadow that really stands out in terms of DPS, the other 2 are only slightly better than Zone)

You can get morpeko from research reward tasks too and you can also get one as well from the timed research rewards quest featuring spirttomb, so it's not just from the go battle league
