The "No he's just some guy" was set up so perfect. It gave me goosebumps. Charlie is actually very talented when it comes to music

Charlie Day wrote the music for this episode which deserves more credit.

The way he pauses when she asks of Frank is his Dad, as if he felt wounded when he remembered what he thought he had and then lost.

As I get older, It becomes more and more clear to me that Charlie is the real main character. He is undoubtedly the most sympathetic character out of the entire cast. While also being the only character capable of introspection. He is the heart and soul of the show.

At its core, Always Sunny is about a man with severe mental disabilities and substance abuse problems. Who is unable to get help because of his socioeconomic position and because his only "friends" treat him like garbage. In short: Charlie is the kind of people our education system leaves to die, forgotten and unloved.

Say what you want about Charlie but he's the one who stands for all the beatiful scenes in IASIP!

You know what I appreciate? Charlie was able to look back at something he did and say, "Oh shoot, that was racist."

the show is actually about charlie, who tells stories and the stories of his times with his friends in the bar

This part makes me cry every time because I imagine all the kids out there who actually grew up under these circumstances.

All I take from this, is that it's not just black kids who don't know their dads...

"Guess I'm just another black kid who doesn't know his dad"
This line, along with the music behind, sounds very sad. Charlie is very good at music, I like all his songs in the show
