Why These are the BEST Topwaters for Fall Bass Fishing

Показать описание
James Watson has had a lot of success in big tournaments in the fall and he walks through his system for choosing the best topwater baits for various conditions he commonly sees fishing around the country for bass in the fall. He talks about choosing baits based on being on the bank, out in open water, when he needs to fish fast, when he needs to fish slow, water clarity and a lot more.

This is a really good system that he's proven over the years of tournament fishing and guiding on many lakes around the country.

"How many times have you seen a wounded duck out swimming in the lake and get eaten? Me neither. Not ever. Not one single time." ;-)

Haven’t used spooks very often but I’ve caught multiple bass offshore in 8+ feet of water on 130 whopper plopper mostly on points or rock piles

Great info James Watson. I also like to use black and white buzz baits. Is there an advantage to using a gold vs silver blade?

He is completely right about the whopper plopped 130 gets smashed by all sized bass I’ve caught everything from 12inchers to 6lbers on the 130, , I don’t like the 110 size because in order to get the right sound u have to fish it faster and the 130 you can get the right sound by fishing it a lot slower and that’s where it gets bit more

I already do the Plopper/buzzbait part. But I really should try the toad style baits more.

You have to get up to Northwest Ontario. Can’t count how many times I’ve seen pike take baby ducks. Mama and 1, 2, 3, 4.... No, make that Mama and 3....
