I finally flew the Porter E2!

Join me on a flight from Edmonton to Montreal in Porter Reserve on the airline's glorious E2 jet. In this video I'm finally getting a chance to try out Porter's new jet service on this roughly 4-hour flight across Canada from, on their most premium Porter Reserve fare, in the front row. I've been hearing about the very premium product Porter is offering on these E2 jets and I've been so eager to test it out for myself. Was it as good as it looks, and as good as everyone says? Does 4 hours feel too long in a small jet like this? Was the service any good? I'll be answering all these questions and more.

I am from Montreal. I love my city. But the airport management is an embarrassment. A couple of years ago I waited three hours for my bags on a flight from Cuba that landed around midnight. My kids were with me. I remember thatt like it was yesterday. Can you imagine how tired the kids were ? Waiing for the bags was almost as long as the flight itself! ... But you can be sure that they will always blame it on the labor shortage... Thank you for your excellent review. Always a pleasure to watch.

Lovely video as always. Love the E2 and hope to fly on it one day. Hope you got your bag eventually. Sometimes I'm annoyed when the bags aren't there when I get to baggage claim but man over an hour, I'd be angry for sure.

I really love the E 195 E2, 11% more effecient than the the A220, and probably the quietest commercial aircraft flying today, wish u'll try flying Porter's longest route Safe travels and GOD speed

I get the pleasure of flying into Montreal a few times a year for work. Always a nightmare with long wait for bags, over crowding in the terminal, tail backs on the road, long waits at security and full lounges.

you are so right about the baggages situation at YUL, i flew for the first time in my life last week, from Montreal to Halifax and back with Porter on a Dash 8 (flight was great seems like Porter takes pride of what they offers on economy class from what i heard ) at Stanfield airport i got my stuff 10 min after arriving and i waited over 50 min at YUL

Embraer E2 is an excellent plane. The cabin configurations (wide seats or not) will depend on the airline.

I flew Porter from Edmonton to Toronto about a week prior to your video. I agree with most of your review. Service was good, nothing impressive but not bad. The snacks and drinks were good however I do recommend bringing something extra along. I liked the aircraft. We had some light bumpiness while climbing out of Edmonton but the ride was very smooth. Fit and finish inside was not quite Airbus standard but not a big deal. I was in regular economy. YEG to YYZ, I had an empty seat beside me so I had space, coming back was full, I had the aisle seat but was beginning to feel a bit closed in. 4 hours on this plane is probably the maximum you would do.

I feel your pain. I once waited over two hours at Manchester UK for my bags off an Emirates A380 flight from Dubai. Although Manchester Airport is always guaranteed to ruin any flying experience. It’s never acceptable. Think that’s the first time I’ve heard you swear 🤣 And rightly so! 😝

I flew Porter and all I got was 1/2 a can of Coke and one cookie the size of a Toonie.
I booked online and got my boarding pass from a machine heading out; coming back from Montreal, I couldn't do that and had to wait in line for a person.
