If they continue to investigate and it turns out he was in fact innocent then everyone involved with forcing this execution should be charged with murder.

I remember his case from a tv show . His DNA was not on the knife . For them to do this even after the family asked to spare his life is disgusting .

It's frightening to know you can live in a country where you can be thrown in jail for little evidence, spend decades there, and have judges at the last minute decide... yeah, we don't need you in this world innocent or not, despite everyone else including those who put you in there telling them not to. It boggles the mind.

The woman killed was stabbed 41 times someone who is robbing your house doesn't hang around to do that. That's called a crime of passion someone who has ill feelings 4 the victim. Sounds fishy to me

I live in Missouri and this case was different from most death penalty sentences. One of the witnesses said they were lying. Even one of the prosecutors said the death penalty should be thrown out. Our stupid Governor has never commuted a single death penalty because he admitted in an interview that all he looks for is that the process was followed correctly by law enforcement. Didn't really care about the details or discrepancies. I live in a beautiful place but we have some messed up people running the show me state

Who is held responsible when the state commits first degree murder?

Listen, even if he wasn’t innocent, he’s been in jail for almost 20 years. What the hell was it necessary for them to execute him??? Makes no sense

I need to understand this case better like….

1. Why wasn’t the husband that found her a suspect? Because her family claimed he was physically abusive towards her

2. Why would he park his car catch a bus rob her for cash and stab her and Kill her then go catch a bus back to his vehicle?

3. Where are the witnesses that came forward?

Justice is not served by deadline it is served by truth.

So now if he really was innocent that victim's murderer has gone free and they may never actually get justice for her.

From the start, there was no justice. An innocent man was punished for years without evidence. Despite this, his execution was repeatedly discussed and eventually carried out without evidence, even against the victim’s family’s wishes. All those responsible should be investigated for their lack of transparency and evidence, and be forced to explain why they thought it was a good idea to imprison someone for so long without evidence, and then continue arrogantly to execute without evidence. This case shows that human justice is flawed and can never be true justice.

This is a public lynching and I am grateful to see the reporter's emotion. It says A LOT when THE VICTIM'S FAMILY is saying, "hey, wait a minute"... nothing but pale ppl supporting that governor... THAT says something, in itself

My heart goes out to all those who felt the need to try and stop this but woe to the ones who let it happen

So if they find out he was in fact innocent the governor and everyone involved should receive the the same punishment.

Im saddened and uncertain. This whole thing just doesn't set right... seems like they wanted him dead and swept under the rug. Quickly.
