Fraudsters and public money-siphoners beware: there’s a new sheriff in town. That's the message that the European Union is trying to send, as it creates a new public prosecutor’s office specifically dedicated to catching up with people who defraud EU funds. The Commission estimates that as much as €500 million of EU taxpayers’ money could be clawed back each year. But detractors say it’s another unnecessary layer of European bureaucracy.
Produced by Isabelle Romero, Anais Guerard and Roxane Runel.

EVA JOLY IS THE MOST HONEST PERSON IN THE WHOLE SORDID WORLD OF POLITICS. AFTER SHE HAD BROUGHT DOWN ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR, COLORFUL, THIEF IN THE FRENCH GOVERNMENT. THAT CAUSED MANY MORE TO TUMBLE . SHE WAS NOT DISCREETLY; GOT RID OF.. IF THIS LADY HAD HAD HER PRESENT POST 3O yrs AGO . CORRUPTION WOULD BE MINOR, INSTEAD OF A MAJOR PROBLEM.
