Great tutorial, but just a tip: if you're using a glass, metal or plastic vase I'd recommend using a primer first, if you're using acrilic paint. There are primers for each kind of material. This way the paint will stick to the vase and it won't crack or come out later.

These are awesome! I'll definitely be trying this. Hmm, I think odd pink textured one would look super cool if you spray painted it copper first, so the final result was copper peaking through the black texture. Neato!

I did this last weekend but with acrylic chalk paint and baking soda for a matte cement textured look. The dry brush after my two initial coats provided amazing texture.

I love playing with stuff like this. It brings out the mad scientist in me. I cracked up when you put all that baking powder in the paint because I knew it would react. You had fun, and that's what it's all about.

The baking powder has cream of tartar, which is an acid. That’s why the reaction with the paint. I like to use fine sand and used dried coffee grounds.

A great, great experiment! A little note: it has been my experience that if you are doing a textured piece, STIPPLING is the best method to apply the paint product. You were STABBING and the motion is different. Stippling is more gentle and uses more product. Try it! Loved this video. Thanks for being our tester!

I’ve been so loving this trend!! I did it with baking powder and was super happy with the result! Glad to see there are several different combinations I can use!

I love these! I’m a scenic artist and we use this same technique but we use joint compound, flex glue(elmers glue), plus a paint color😊

Just is time.... I had on my "list of things to do" this weekend to paint a bunch of glass vases and pitchers. The colors don't match and I want a more neutral color scheme. I was going to use spray paint, but I'm going to definitely try some of these techniques. PS The farmhouse look is not for me.... so I'm so happy to have a channel to watch that is more eclectic!

I think the small pink vas3 that u painted would look good with a candle lit in it, like little stars peaking through.

You should try out sand and paint. It sticks to anything and makes it look like stone or concrete.
Plaster of Paris works much like the baking powder...😅
