Lmao those damned coconut ice creams fall apart every time😤 I’m always rushing to eat it up because I’m too lazy and cheap to use a paper plate/napkin 😂

Tips for anyone on a budget in college etc
- make your own coffee if you drink it
- bring a water bottle so you can fill it up for free instead of buying drinks
- eat breakfast at home or if you can’t take it with you things like porridge (oatmeal), toast and cereal is usually the cheapest
- take lunch with you things like pasta, rice with other things so it’s actually good is cheaper cuz you can buy them in bulk
- buy the “wonky vegetables” they’re the ones that’s cheaper cuz they don’t look as good
- for transport if you’re close either walk or cycle there or you can usually get a railcard which makes it cheaper for trains
- if you’re gonna eat out look for meal deals (not sure if it’s just the uk that has it most places) it’s better than paying like £10+ for a meal

the fact that a bagel is cheaper than a bottle of water is mind blowing

The struggle of living in New York is enormous and also as a college student myself I still live with my parents which means I get to live rent free and also feed myself for free but also help out my parents with house chores since I don’t want to be lazy and not do anything and also love the piercing that you have it look good on you

My budget is 4.50 a day to eat(that's a great day too), I wouldn't have made it passed the coffee and water!

Dang that’s a lot of money. How do you pay for all of that? Many college students can’t even buy textbooks and they would be dirt cheap on food.

I spend about $20 per day on food and transportation. $40-50 if I eat out for lunch. His $76 includes a $25 Instacart delivery and $35 worth of other groceries that will be used for several days (if not weeks, I peeped lots of onions). Honestly, I'm impressed he lives so inexpensively in NY. In reality, he actually "spent" around $20 if you subtract the groceries and estimate the cost of the sandwich ingredients and ice cream. He didn't eat $60 worth of groceries in a single day. None of you whiners in the comments have balanced a budget and it shows. 😂
