Ubuntu Mate is a great flavour of Ubuntu... but I think it cannot defeat Fedora on my main. However... the 11 reasons that you've shared are pretty reasonable. I love it. The best feature of it is its layouts. These layouts are very cool. Nice flavour.

You may have to try many others Linux distros to realize the awesome equilibrium between performance, easy of use, style, stability and most important, the software and hardware compatibility which has for being an Ubuntu derivative.

THANK YOU. That was a very clear and informative review of Ubuntu Mate. I have been a Ubuntu user for many years and I just love how it "just works" Oh don't we know about that Blue update screen from another system. My Wife won't let me put Ubuntu on her lap top because "everybody she knows uses that other one" Yet she moans about it taking its time and always updating. I'm going to put Mate on an old PC and let her see what using a good operating system is really like!

Excellent vid. Very informative. U(buntu)M(ate) is really nice for being Ubuntu. Light weight is good, a good way to help out older folks with aging PC's and all they want to do is just use the web. I couldn't stop laughing when you kept stating UM could work on a 64bit Potato.

Please i need help. I have been on Ubuntu-mate 22-04 for some months now. But it always trips off by itself whenever I want to enter some sites or install an app, or do some things important. This is really affecting my work. What should I do, please?
