I think he did obtain some aspects by proxy. Remember, Kevin did work with people like Jim Ross, Cornette, and a couple of others that went to WWF and perhaps had some input for Taker. Im now convinced the purple in Taker's gear for a time was a faint homage to Mark Llewellyn, who was known as the Purple Haze when he teamed with Sullivan.
