David Tutmark performs Estudio in E Minor by Francisco Tárrega. This arpeggio study by Tárrega is very romantic and incredibly beautiful. It's a great piece for a student working on playing arpeggios while keeping a melody singing on the 1st string. That's easily one of the best interpretations I've ever heard, it's slower to what I heard previously on this piece, and this is for the best, you did not rushed it and that's how this piece should play if you ask me.
Congratulations !

Beautiful! It seems that everyone that plays this piece thinks that the high c notes on the fourth bar need excessive ammounts of vibrato. (including myself) 🙂

Yep, agree. That's how it should be played.❤

Had to watch this video again because at first I thought you shifted your hand to change the tone colors but you didn't do that. Very cool that you had such variation by keeping the same position. Cheers!

I enjoy your interpretation of this piece, David. I have bookmarked this performance for reference. This Tarrega piece is one of those compositions that can be played so many different ways (but all of them still beautiful). I'm still trying to find my own interpretation ;)

Great interpretation and cinematography, David! Really authentic to the time period with the rubato you incorporated. I liked the vibrato you added in. I also like to add some portamenti on the second half, gives it that Tarrega signature sound. Bravo 👏

Well played David. It's such a simple tune but really beautiful. I'd love to see you re-record it with tremolo.

P.s. i'd love to see you do a lesson on a piece one day.

Sounds nice. But it is played too fast... My teacher (who studied music) said that Tárrega wrote this song about the end of his life, and if you play it slowly, it sounds more sad, but also more hopeful. It sounds more like the way Tárrega probably wanted it to sound.

But this should not be a hate comment, but rather constructive feedback.
