Francisco Tarrega is one of my favorite composers for the guitar. He was a Spanish composer who lived from 1852-1909. He composed many wonderful pieces for guitar from beginner level pieces to pieces for the most skilled virtuosos.

My recital piece in 1980, instructor commented "I liked the interpretation but you weren't reading the music were you". I wasn't I was playing how I felt at the time. I've exposed my eldest grandson to Tarrega and still advise him to play with emotion, we aren't professional guitarists.

I've learned this composition 7 years ago and didn't know that is Francisco Tárrega. Wonderful song.

Sounds just like chopins “wrong note etude” op 25 no 5. He must have taken inspiration. Great performance ❤️

I like this better than the well known Romanza. Thank you. On my "to learn" list.

i think this is the best version ever you brought life to it instead of it being a study it is safe to assume that this is the best version on youtube.

Btw i am playing this in public in the next week i will steal your interpretation if you don't mind

At first I have to say thanks to Robert for the amazing content!

I'm in my first year of playing the gituar and I thought wow the piece isn't this difficult.
Then the Tremolo part came😂.
Has anyone any tips for learning Tremolo?

Love your stuff. I found you while trying to find a review on the 45 limited, u made it sound great, I went with a c5 limited because I wanted somthing to be able to take out and a 1400 nylon I wouldnt feel safe taking out. But since i got the c5 a week ago, iv learned lagrima, and now just got this one down. Been playing for 19 years and this is my first nylon, and i am now trying to play classical. Thanks Robert.
