Four decades-plus of iconic music! Since they first sang together in 1981 and sold over 30 million albums worldwide, Tears for Fars have sealed their spot in pop music history. They sit down with “Extra’s” Billy Bush to talk about their journey, including the nine years from 1990 to 1999 when they went their separate ways, and how they ultimately reunited — via fax machine! Now, with a new album out, the guys are back by popular demand and continuing their hit residency at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

When everyone in my High School back in 1983 was listening to Rush & ACDC, the song 'Mad World' just sent me in another musical direction. One of the most talented bands ever, I have been obsessed with this band ever since.

I've long had a song for TFF, but am too autistic to figure out a way to find them and present it to them. Ah well...too bad. But on January 4th 1986 I woke from a dream in which a song was playing. And i was trying hard to identify it. "Is this Tears For Fears...Depeche is it?". Well after i woke up i was still "hearing" it, and within 5 minutes came to the conclusion it was nothing. I just made it up without trying! Anyway, i gave it the title Catch The Drift. Unfortunately, in addition to my neurology, it was a few years late. Should've happened in 82 or 83. Maybe then i would've hunted TFF down and told them i have a true hit for you. Damn...autism sucks!

Roland put out two decent albums in the 90’s. Break It Down Again, New Star, Goodnight Song, God’s Mistake, Raoul & The Kings Of Spain, Falling Down are nothing to scoff at.
