Whoever the audio engineer was on this, God bless him/her. This sounds perfect.

My wife and I were part of this audience. One of the best memories of our lives. It was so surreal. TFF was amazing live!

Sometimes older bands do watered down sounding versions of their old hits (ie: missing instruments, lazy vocals, etc.) so it's always great to see a band stay true to their original sound & perform it live just like it sounds on the record. Especially after 30 yrs.

It's amazing how true to the original studio recordings they still are... something that so few artists can still do so many years later.

I wrote to the engineer. She was incredibly gracious. Mixed on a Protools rig/console with Neve 88RLB pres and plugins, patched into JBL subs and arrays for the live FOH. I also thought the mix was incredible.

They are probably one of the most humble bands, that do not have ego complexes. They’re studio guys, which means they don’t like the limelight, and focus on their craft instead. Curt Smith is just a regular guy that you would hang out with. Seeing him in Psych was awesome. You know how amazing their talent is and how influential they’ve been, when a good majority of their hit songs have been redone by MAJOR label artists. They are both truly talented, and have deserved all of the success they have received over the years.

Man... Roland's voice still sounds the same. The guy's really got a great ear for pitch - and a great range as well. Very distinctive and versatile voice. Love it.

do they still sound so good? I mean it's hard enough to be good to be THIS good live some 30 years later?? Grateful that the founders of the soundtrack of my teenage life are still killing it.

These guys are such an important part of my adolescence. I was a bright eyed, 15 years old black girl, growing up on the west side of Chicago in the 80's and their music was everything to me. Thank you Roland and Curt for so many amazing memories.🇺🇲❤💐

Roland's voice is amazing, but equally amazing is Curt's voice. His high pitch and unique sound really make Tears what they are. So very unique that can never duplicated. So thankful for their music.

*This is one of my favorite live performances ever. It's REALLY studio quality, with flawless vocals, mixing and flawless instrumentation.*

while I laid there in bed for about 2yrs in a battle with cancer, Tears for Fears music was a mainstay along with others. well the Lord and the good doctors and support staff helped me survive and guess what I will get to enjoy their music live in North Carolina in June 2022. Cant wait

I'm a pro sound man and been a musician myself for about 15 years. Today I realized that, in this crazy world that we all live in, I haven't taken the time to listen to an entire album or live recording top to bottom in months, if not years... I remembered the old days where I used to listen to all 13 albums of The Beatles (plus Past Masters) on repeat about 10 times each minimum... no kidding... I would let each of them on the plate for 3 months and listen to the whole thing after class every day. Instead of increasing the volume, I would listen so quietly you could hear it spinning - I'm talking CDs, mind you! That's how I got ears able to hear up to 14kHz after years of live drumming. Today I found this... I closed the light... couldn't stream the image properly so I blacked out the screen... sat in my chair, got my best pair of headphones, bring the volumes down to 1-2 notches (youtube volume at about 1 third of the way) and this was enough, because great mix sounds huge without a lot of gain in your sound system or headphones at all.
I forgot what it was not to had a single thought running consciously thought your head, not to look up the comments, not to say something or play or tap along the music of watch the camera work (which is quite nice)... just the sound, just the music... and they are performing for you right there in your room... the best mix I heard in years... transcend the soul... amazing!

Every time I watch Roland it's like watching my best childhood friend as an adult.

My friend passed just before his 21st birthday but he was a talented aspiring musician and watching Roland is like seeing a future that he never got to live. The way he looks, the way he speaks and the way he used to sing. It's uncanny.

Curt Smith shows you how a rock star can age gracefully if he takes care of himself. No eye makeup, no hair dye, just the natural look of a man not insecure that he will never be 20 again.
