i believe they wont have classes but rather let players pick any weapon that will classify their style

They can use this stupid names but its basically Tank (+/ = Warden), Warrior (+/ = Bruiser), Rogue (+/ Assassin, Duelist), Healer (+/ Enchanter = Shield, HOT, Burst) and Hunter (+/ = ADC) and Mage (+/ = APC)

Sounds like this might be the first high quality PvP centric MMO ever made. I really really hope that it doesn't play like gw2. I'm tired of games using the roll mechanic to avoid damage.

Controller is a sub class in my opinion. Like there are Controller Mages, Tanks and Supports. It is basically any champion who's intended job is to 'catch' enemies with abilities that stun, slow, root or displace.

I consider the old Legacy classes to be the real classes and those are:
Fighter
Mage
Tank
Marksman
Assassin
Support

Specialist are a class people that don't fit neatly into the other classes (because the have peculiar abilities with wacky effect: Like Heimerdinger for instance.)
