When comparing what a master does PLEASE bring the level down and attempt to match them. This just shows people its a magical process that makes it sound better just because it is louder.

Great video. The oxford inflator is a waveshaper, not really a compressor per say. Funny how that old waveshaper still gets plenty of use after all these years

little tip : put soft clipper before the limiter (not tracks classic clipper because you can't change the threshold ) so the clipper shape the peaks without add make up gain and the limiter will be more trasparent

Yo thanks for the BPM formula, for not wrecking my brain to figure out release times. Sick!! 60000 ÷ BPM (use half or quarter of value). ♥️🧠💭✏️

If you have a good mix, you will have a good master. If you a great mix, you might not even need a master. Just do what's right for the track.

Question 1. Can you make a video only on making a vintage (60’s/70’s) sounding master?
Question 2. Where is the list of every plug-in used in this video?

Thank you, again! Your videos are incredible.

Do you resort to Satin over Softube Tape these days? I just downloaded the demo for Satin, and it definitely is a great sounding plug-in. It's pretty comprehensive though, and I don't even know if I'm wielding it properly lol

Love your videos, I'll definitely be sending a track to be mastered and compare it with my amateur efforts 😁👊✌️

Great tips. Thanks. Do you ever use a transient shaper on a master bus to bring out details, for example, using compression first to glue the mix, then enhancing the transients to increase detail and clarity?

Timing the compressor's release to the song tempo? Brilliant! Adding this to my bag of tricks. BTW - I would also like to get the name of this song and artist. Such a lovely voice.

sir kindly please do videos on edm mastering . i found most of your videos are about pop and rock music
hey i am watching that your are cutting side freq on the bass area but some mixing engerss say that if your bass is little stereo. Then dont make it completely mono just leave (and the reason they explain that when make your bass 100% in mono if it was a little stereo then you are cuuting some warmth from your track*) what you think about it sir
