My son and I constantly remember different realities. It baffles me. He brought up recently, a car accident he remembers being in with me. He remembered the exact intersection, the stores, and my car spinning across lanes into oncoming traffic. His body language as he reinacted what he remembered, which was all 100% accurate, told me he was recalling a real memory. Except he wasn't there when that accident happened. I remember every moment, and was alone, just coming home from work. And he'd already moved out on his own across town an hour away and was nowhere around. He wasn't in the police report, the court transcript, and most definitely not in my memory of that experience. Before I'd been passing it off as him having a really bad memory of events. Him remembering everything in a situation he most definitely wasnt there to experience has me asking new questions. Our recollections of things are all very similar versions, but some details vastly opposite of what the other remembers and experienced.

I donated my wedding ring from my ex who I divorced. It was supposed to be put into the cement foundation of a Buddhist shrine thousands of miles away from where I lived. 6 years later, I was dating a personal organizer. She was helping me organize my apartment and she pulls it out of a drawer.

For me I remember the lion and the lamb. And when I heard the wolf and searched through my old Bible and couldn't find the lion, like all bibles in the world had changed the words I so much liked as a kid, in all shelves around the world... it really pulled the ground away under my feet... also, that other people my age didn't remember the lion. Oh my, shock for a while. Healthy I guess, realizing the illusionary concepts we wrap around reality.
