As a proud Canadian from Montreal I was brought to tears of joy for our native daughter that we love so much . What sickens me though is how quickly the haters came out of the woodwork to belittle her performance to say that it was pre-recorded and not live. Seeing that young boy in the video reminded me so much of myself. In 1990, at the young age of 8, I remember the first time I saw Céline on TV. The next day, I made my parents buy me her first English-speaking album, Unison. Since then, I have seen Céline in concert seven times, have followed her career and trajectory, and have shared many life moments with her. My mom passed away on the day that Renée passed away. She will never truly understand how much I truly love and appreciate her.
