Thank you, it is finally nice to have an artist show how to start one’s line drawing. I tried this method with a child’s face on a much smaller scale. My problem that I ran into is that the nose and eyes would take up the entire inside scale of the square instead of the nose or eye taking up a smaller portion of a few squares. It become such a challenge for me that I gave up. You make it look so easy & I know that I must continue to try the grid method once again on my next portrait. Any tips is always appreciated since, I am very new to drawing portraits. My favorite medium is colored pencils...Love, love them! Thanks once again for a great share and all your tips within the video.

Hey, i really enjoy your videos but i'm deaf so i have 3 questions i'm not sure about :

1/How you do the grid in the source photo ?
2/You always do a grid when you work on a photo ?
3/After i finished the shape i must erase the grid on the paper or its better to keep it for later use ?
