Replacing My F250 TRANSMISSION after it BREAKS (COMPLETE Swap)

So I've owned my truck for 3 years and put 80k miles on it. I've kept up maintenance for the most part but didn't change the trans fluid soon enough and my trans ended up going out at the worst time. I was riding my bike to work when the chain snapped so I had to get my truck to get the bike but when i got there the transmission ended up going out and I limped home and halfway there it went out completely. The cummins had to pull me the rest of the way home so when I got home I started calling around and figuring out the cost to repair. I was quoted anywhere from 6-9k so i decided to call some salvage yards and found a used one for $1600 and bought a $400 transmission jack and decided to start the daunting task of replacing the transmission

did you have to program the new transmission into your truck or did you just relearn the transmission?

I`d love to see the broken transmission from the inside. So if it`s possible you could make another short video about it or share some fotos over instagram ;)

Did you have to have the transmission programmed after installation? I am about to swap in a good used 6r140 and want to plan ahead if it's needed. That way, i can line up a trailer to haul it to the dealer.

@benjaminoutdoorrs, I need to ask you for some help. I building a K4 750 and im having a issue with a bent subframe. I cant figure out if its the subframe thats bent or the mounts where the subframe bolt up. I have video and pictures i could email you. Post your email under here. Shit, ill take any advice from any one who is willing to help. So far ive tried heating it up and taking a big ass Spud wrench and trying to bend it back and that def helped a little bit. But the fairings for the tail wont sit flush or mount up 100% properly and its pissing me off cause they are all brand new fairings.

My 17 year old son just bought a truck and it’s leaking fluid from the transmission. Thanks for the video but it doesn’t look like a DIY job and he can’t afford to fix it so he owns a very expensive garden statue in the yard now. Not sure what he should do with it.
