Canon 5D Mark IV Hands-On Field Test

The Canon 5D series is one of the most important in the photography world. It's been four years since the last model, and the photography world has changed dramatically. Does the 5D Mark IV have what it take to put it at the top of the DSLR world? We went to Calgary annual Beakerhead Festival to check it out.

The thing I like most about your channel is the connection between "Photographer and Videographer". I love seeing everytime Jordan give his thoughts as a videographer about every camera. Its one of those things... if you are already invested in a systems lens lineup.. the difference in the sensor isn't enough to warrant the change over to sony or Nikon.. but if your starting fresh looking for a brand to invest in.. both Sony and Nikon are the way to go if we are talking strictly sensor image quality. I say this in my reviews but, as a canon shooter with a ton of lenses.. I am just too damn lazy to sell all of that glass for a tiny bump up in IQ.. and having to give up my favorite lenses.

I am a full time wedding and event photographer currently using the 5D Mark III...I would have bought the new 5D Mark IV in a minute if they had removed the AA filter...Canon should at least give us the option to remove it like they did with the 5DS and 5DS-r...I think unfortunately, I may switch to Nikon, which is something I really don't want to do, but Canon is not giving people like me much of a choice...The 5D Mark IV would be stellar with it's current specs and also with the AA Optical Low Pass filter removed.... I hope Canon is listening and may consider this option (and soon) before they lose too many people including and nice video...

"it's tracking me perfectly" shooting at f16 on a wide angle... Anything with such a big dof just isn't tracking anymore, the focusing is pretty much infinity anyway.

Jordan, in what profile did you record this? I mean even if it doesn't have a proper flat profile, you can turn down the sharpness and contrast and grade it a little in post, right?
