Is this phase interference why some recordings seem to oscillate between left and right channels when heard through headphones? It's a fairly fast oscillation, maybe 4+ Hz. Your explanation here was excellent.

I'm going to be using this device to record live performances of stand up comedy, do you think this will adequately capture the voice coming from the speakers and the crowd if I have it toward the back of the room?

Does it work to set one mic to 120 and the other to 90? Recording Oboe and Double Bass. Considering trying to capture more room sound and resonance for the oboe (120?) and more focus on the bass (90) for clarity. Manual says to go for one or the other. recording distance about 2 meters.
