Head up displays on motorcycle helmets have a poor track record. Can the Shoei Opticson buck the trend?

I dont need additional information via head up display, I ride bikes to have no information at all for a while😂

Finally I can relieve the boredom of riding by simultaneously gambling or watching family guy clips!

We ride to get away from stress, work and find some time to relax.

Unless I'm riding a Tiger helicopter, I should be fine without it. That just another visual distraction, girls in summer are bad enough riding around town.

I get it. They are going to make what they think is a safety feature in your helmet but I am worried like a back up camera or assisted driving riders may not be as alert as they should be. A distraction for sure and a hard no is my opinion

I'm an absolute nerd and i love tech, not sone luddite or addict who cant put his phone down desiring a dully unplugged ride, but this is a hard no for me.

I have a handlebar mount for my phone, and have audio in my headset. My phone is immediately beside my dash, so very glanceable if i need to, but i usually don't because audio directions are fine.

Everything else? I ABSOLUTELY do not want anything unnecessary in my field of vision all the time. Even leaving aside distraction everything displayed there is less you're going to see around you. That may be a missed head move preceding an abrupt signalless lane change, a slightly longer delay noticing an animal, etc.

I dont need *any* data all the time, and my habdlebars arent far to glance at if i do need to know something.

I want that tinted in red, just like Vegeta's...

All that fancy gadgetry only takes away from what really matters on a motorcycle: Riding, enjoying the scenery and bettering our skills and abilities!

I dunno I'm still saving up for that helmet that has a hud up by your uni row that shares your phones directions with you and also has a camera in the back of your helmet to give you a unobstructed rear view mirror.

if you lot in the americas are having troubles finding them, us australians aren't even going to try. Tho, I don't want anything fancy, I just want my speed to be somewhere near my line of sight.

Why would I want a HUD on a motorbike ??

Yes. Do want. I’m still upset google glass didn’t work out. On a sport bike I have to look away from the road to look down at my dash to see anything going on with the bike.

Speed and basic navigation are all that I think are really needed on a bike. Minimal. Just making details available without distraction. I could see more specific track focused versions that have more details.

I just ordered an AGV K3SV from your website and received it. It looks good. Thanks

Geiger Counter, it shows the power level of your opponents

My Zumo XT is mounted slightly below my line of sight. No need for HUD

There's two things that would be nice to have on a HUD, speedometer, rear facing camera. That would reduce how much you look away from the road, thus keep you safer.

Head up display? I won't even let bluetooth into my riding space. No telephone calls, interjections from other riders or musak. Riding is to be at one with nature. Be immersed in it. Zen and the art of motorcycle meditation!
