Good job, BMW once again! Please add - blind spot warnings like recent Nissan cars have, rear camera, modular/exchangable intercom parts, voice commands, maps with touchpad or wheel to zoom in/out, upgradable helmet software with open API to allow developers to make apps for helmet, or something like google car integration but for motorcyle/helmet (then lot's of stuff and logic could be offloaded to mobile, helmet is simply display+intercom). All motorcycle metrics should be available for helmet including inclination degrees. Compatibility with Android and Apple iOS. Emergency button or auto call on impact to report location and call ambulance. Safety mechanism like PIN or ability to lock HUD display to particular motorcycles. And helmet should be silent too with noise canceling mics :) Thanks!

Why is there no camera on the back of the helmet, with a small display of what is going on behind you! Common!!!!

Needs:
1) Solar cell baterry powered
2) Lightning repellant
3) Operational on all weather
4) Submerge in 30 minutes at 300 feet

I'm in two minds about this. It seems very nice and practically at first and it may be on long trips or if you just ride to work or something. But on the other hand it really looks like a distraction not only from the road but also from the motorcycle feeling itself. When I'm riding I want to enjoy the moment and not be connected all the time. It kinda disturbs the riding atmosphere, its purity.

Quite similar technology is used years now in the helmets of pilots of fighter jets an Apache helicopters

Now will this helmet only pair with BMW bikes? or is the company going to make the helmet and technology avail for anyone, for any bike.  Maybe have the same HUD display with MPH, GPS etc.. without the diagnostic check being performed if one does not own a BMW.Also is this just a concept or is it actually going to be produced.

Want - need - afford: I definitely want and need this but can I afford it!
Apart from the head up I have these features on my helmet in terms of additions (Sena GoPro and the like), it would be so sweet to have it integrated.
Does it have the ability to charge whilst riding via 12v?
Can you use earbud head phone alternative?
