They work really well on trout as well, they just need to be smaller usually otherwise the trout dont commit to a bits but follow it

Idk about top waters, if I use them for more than 10 minutes I feel like I’m missing out on fish, it’s just harder to catch anything on them

My dad gave me his old tackle box and tackle and there was a popper in it and I’ve never used it but next time I go fish my local pond I’ll make sure to use it and hopefully catch some bass
