Rod Run dates back more than 40 years. It pumps millions into the local economy but is also notorious for arrests, crashes and even a few deaths.

Back in the day when Pigeon Forge was not as popular. For YEARS they were welcomed. The rod runs helped build Pigeon Forge. But now they have forgotten that.

Can’t stand the rod run, at the very least cut it back to one time per year. It’s awful trying to get around town during those times.

Its not worth it anymore. Too much is going on and there too much traffic trying to flow through. It was banned in Gatlinburg before it moved to Pigeon Forge, could you imagine this going on in there now? Now there are too many attractions and so many non-hot rod visitors at the same time making it chaos. It different from the Jeep invasions and such events, these rod runs cause chaos on the parkway. When they first started we had a completely different parkway from today. No island, less shops and attractions and fewer people. You could enjoy the cars then.
